As the oldest teacher in the district, this is my 21st year at Lakeport. I have taught students from grades 4-12 during that time, and am currently doing 6th grade and on my final year. I have a wife, Carol, and two daughters who also live in Lake County. Prior to becoming a teacher at the age of 56, I was a Director of Research and Development at a hospital software company in the Bay Area. I spent 7 years in Europe as a Consultant on technology. I also worked in government for the Speaker ProTem of the California Assembly, and before that was a sports writer and sports editor for 7 years.
