I'm a 1979 graduate of Clear Lake High School.  I received my BA from Humboldt State University in 1984.  I worked in a group home for emotionally disturbed children and decided to continue on with my education.  I  received my 3 teaching credentials from Sonoma State University in 1988.  I began teaching special education in 1988 at Sonoma Developmental Center.  In 2002, I reloacated to Lakeport and once again taught special education.  In 2015, I accepted a position as the teacher for Natural High Continuation School.  I have thoroughlly enjoyed my years of teaching and have learned so much from my students.  Teaching in alternative education has been very enjoyable and rewarding.  I have been given the opportunity to work closely with students, listen to their individual goals and set a plan to help them reach those goals and dreams.  The success of our students is the focus of this program and something we all celebrate each day.
