• Student and Family Services

    Student and family  support is  located in the Lakeport Alternative Education and Student Services Office.  Staff is available to support families in removing barriers to community services and enabling students to attend school healthy and ready to learn. The Student and Family Advocate, Schad Schweitzer, connects families with community-based services and assists in applying for Healthy Families and MediCal along with providing advocacy and referrals to health care providers.  He also serves as the Mckinney-Vento Homeless Liaison to support students and families facing issues associated with homelessness.

    Parents and community members are encouraged to direct questions to the Director of Alternative Education and Pupil Services, Rachel Paarsch, concerning educational rights for students in foster care or homeless situations.
